Abstract

A method to generate anisotropic unstructured mesh is presented. The Delaunay criterion for checking whether a given point is located in the circumcircle of a triangle is adopted by modifying the distance definition. A metric matrix is introduced to control the mesh size and stretched direction. Numerical examples are provided to show the feasibility of the proposed method.
