Abstract
E-manufacturing cell formation is a combination optimization problem, in which how to get the global optimized result and reduce the system complexity is important and difficult. Through deeply analyzing the mechanism of e-manufacturing system, a kind of two-tier structure of e-manufacturing cells is put forward and an analytical target cascading (ATC) based synergistic cell formation model is presented. In this model, the coupled relations among the manufacturing processes of different part families are mainly considered and the clustering analysis of parts is working as a basic technology. The detail algorithm analysis is given to demonstrate the rationality and effectiveness of the model.
