Abstract
The LiBr-H2O absorption-ejector hybrid refrigeration system consists of several heat exchangers operating at different conditions. the effective temperature difference for heat transfer of each exchanger will affect not only the whole process performances and the determination of effective heat-transfer area in designing, but also the cost of refrigeration. An analysis and calculation were made here to determine the suitable range of parameters for the cost optimization by taking the effective temperature-difference of several main heat exchangers, the solution concentration between generator and absorber, and the temperature in the generator as the design parameters. The analysis proposed here can be served as a theoretical basis for the optimal design of such a hybrid refrigeration system.
