Abstract
With the rapid development of infrared detection and missile-guiding technology, the research on the infrared stealth and its assessment of target shows more military importance. The low emissivity film is one of the infrared stealth methods. The infrared stealth assessment of the low emissivity film is the foundation for its development. The temperature and infrared signature model of the target coated with film was established considering of the convection and radiation heat transfer relationship between the target and outer environment synthetically. The corresponding numerical calculation program was made. The time-dependent surface temperature and infrared signature of the target were calculated before and after using the low emissivity film. On this account, thermal infrared stealth coating effect was analyzed for two kinds of low emissivity film. The results show that the choice of film emissivity should take account of integration effect of the wavelength controlled by the film and the outer environment.
