Abstract
Slagging on superheater is an important factor to affect the operation of biomass power plant. Slagging causes the decrease of heat exchange efficiency even tube explosion. The slagging on secondary superheater was extremely serious in a biomass power plant in China and massive white matter was discovered in the exit of bag filters, which was determined by thermogravimetry (TG) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD) to be high purity of NH4Cl. Slagging sample on secondary superheater was proved to contain KCl and NaCl by XRD. NH4Cl was proved to derive from soil by components analysis of cotton stalk and soil. Decomposition and formation of NH4Cl was discussed, meanwhile, the relationship between NH4Cl and slagging was analyzed and NH4Cl was proved an important factor causing slagging.
