Abstract
The online monitoring of primary frequency regulation parameters has important effect on specification, to encourage the fully utilization of primary frequency regulation and to maintain the stability of power grid. However, the performance of those online analysis methods is limited by its reliability and the effect of Automatic Generation Control command. Reliable methods were developed for parameter estimation online. Some indicators and their estimation methods were proposed for the fast support ability after a sudden disturbance. The algorithms were used for practical generation units and the parameters were obtained. The work is helpful to build monitoring system with high performance and to provide accurate and reliable parameters for PFR performance online evaluation and stability analyses on power grid.
