Abstract

As an excellent insulating material, XLPE is widely used in DC cables. AC/DC cables may withstand impulse voltages such as lightning or operating overvoltage, which can cause insulation damage. The aging of insulating materials is closely related to space charge. Therefore, it is necessary to study the space charge characteristics of polymers under AC/DC superimposed impulse voltage. In this paper, through the Pspice simulation software for calculation and analysis, a space charge measurement system under AC/DC superimposed impulse voltage is designed, which is based on the pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) method, a traditional space charge measurement technology. It is of great significance for future research on the aging of composite voltage polymers.
