An Effective Plane Wave Synthesis Method

Abstract

In order to decrease the amplitude and phase ripple in the quiet zone (QZ) generated by plane wave generator (PWG), two non-uniformly distributed arrays of PWG based on Chebyshev polynomials are proposed. The weighting coefficients of the PWG array are calculated by sparse optimization algorithm. The methods are verified by computer simulation.
