Abstract
The demand-side response is an important method to mobilize load-side flexibility to adapt to the high proportion of renewable energy in the power system. Evaluating the potential and effectiveness of the demand-side response requires calculating the load curves of the adjustable loads participating in the demand-side response in numerous scenarios. However, methods that rely solely on commercial solvers may not cover all scenarios or meet the computational speed requirements. This paper proposes an analytical method to quickly and precisely compute the day-ahead load curve for adjustable loads under price-based demand response. Rigorous theoretical derivation and proof based on KKT conditions are introduced to guarantee the accuracy of the proposed method. Numerical results verify the validity of the proposed method.
