Abstract
Large-scale integration of wind power makes peak load regulation of the power systems in northern China, mainly consisting of coal-fired units, more and more challenging due to its randomness and volatility. And it is difficult for traditional scheduling methods to deal with the challenge of the integrated wind power and heating demand. Therefore, an analysis model of multi-area interconnected power systems with large-scale wind power involved in comprehensive heating and power system scheduling is set up in this article. This model aims to minimize expected total energy consumption of the interconnected systems considering randomness of wind power output. Then ARMA (auto-regressive and moving average) model and Monte Carlo technique are taken to simulate a large number of wind power scenarios, and scenario reduction algorithm is developed to get a finite number of representative scenarios. The constraint "fixing power based on heat " is broken and heat energy is balanced on spot because heat energy is difficult to transfer over long distance. Mixed integer programming technique is used to obtain operational aspects of every unit and thermoelectric device considering constraints of power transmission lines. Then, economic and running benefits of this scheduling model are calculated using above methods. Test system is used to verify rationality and feasibility of the proposed models.
