Abstract

A discussion covers the advances in preparation of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) by in situ copolymerization of ethylene in the last 20 yr; three kinds of difunctional catalyst systems used for preparation of LLDPE, i.e., Ziegler-Natta catalyst system, metallocene catalyst system, and non-metallocene catalysts system; and properties of these catalyst systems and polymer obtained.
