Abstract
In this article, we focus on the 1-bit precoding design for a multi-user massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, where the concept of constructive interference (CI) is employed to formulate the optimization problem. By adopting the symbol-scaling CI metric, the formulated optimization problem is transformed such that the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) framework can be used to solve this problem. Furthermore, we obtain the closed-form solution to the subproblem in each step within the ADMM iteration, thus achieving lower complexity. We further provide the computational complexity analysis of the proposed algorithm. Numerical experiments verify the superior bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed ADMM-based CI precoding (CI-ADMM) scheme over the state-of-the-art, with proper initialization.
