Abstract
To solve the problem of vessel bifurcation and overlap, an adaptive tracking algorithm based on the constraint of directional information measure is proposed. In the heuristic tracking procedure, an edge measure function is defined to detect vessel edge. Simultaneously, some strategies are introduced to improve the detective precision, such as step adjustment, direction inertia and quadrangle modification. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can correctly track the vessel when bifurcation and overlap occurs.
