Abstract

In view of the poor accuracy stability of the domestic large machine tool body due to the lack of standardization of vibration stress relief (VSR) process, a new method for achieving the best process parameters of VSR is proposed, Following the modal simulation and harmonic response analysis, on the same casting bed, the average stress elimination rate of the new process and the original process is comparatively evaluated. The average stress elimination rate of the new technology approaches 65.1% while that of the original process gets 38.5%, and the stress relieving rate of the bed in the new process reaches 1.69 times of that in the original process.
