Abstract

Effects of high-temperature recrystallization on the microstructures and properties of CuNiSiCr alloy were investigated. The results showed that the designed treatment achieved making full use of the refining effect of recrystallization on the microstructure. Moreover, the strength and plasticity of the recrystallized alloys after peak aging improved continuously with the processing temperature due to the enhanced uniformity. The strength increment was quantitatively analyzed to be induced by the improved precipitates hardening with smaller equivalent average precipitates sizes. The ranking order of the electrical resistivity was also discussed in terms of the microscopical homogeneity. Further thermal analyses were conducted to investigate the feasibility of the treatment in real fabrication.
