N2 - Asynchronous Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is an efficient solution to confront exponentially growing data services because it can provide low latency network service without time synchronization in network nodes. However, the upper bound of the clock deviation is unknown and the actual operating status can not be obtained because each network device does not execute time synchronization in the asynchronous TSN. To this end, a traffic simulation algorithm for time-triggered flows in asynchronous time-sensitive networks is proposed. Firstly, the concept of the reference clock is introduced based on the difficulty analysis of the asynchronous TSN system. Secondly, the essence of simulation in an asynchronous TSN system is analyzed. And it is concluded that the simulation algorithm is a necessary and effective way to obtain the actual operating status. Then a traffic simulation algorithm based on the reference clock is proposed. The algorithm is implemented via two different test cases, where the scales of the cases are randomly generated. The test results show that the simulation algorithm proposed in this paper can analyze the specific operating conditions of the asynchronous TSN system. Consequently, it can be used to compare the quality of different arrangement results and can provide guidance for the arrangement of asynchronous TSN traffic.
