A routing algorithm based on movement estimation and dynamic communication energy adjustment for mobile wireless sensor network

Abstract

In mobile wireless sensor network, the random movements of sensor nodes cause complex and dynamic network topologies, the network communication efficiency and network life time are also degenerated. Upon analysis of node communication model, the packet-forwarding energy-conditions between nodes are achieved, and the forwarding areas between nodes are decided. A node mobility estimation based routing protocol (NMEBRP) is proposed, the NMEBRP adjusts the local route-table dynamically according to the estimation of neighbor nodes' movements. Extensive simulations show that the NMEBRP can improve the energy efficiency and network lifetime effectively.
