Abstract

Based on the small world phenomenon in social networks, a local search operator and a random long-range search operator with decimal-coding are proposed, then a decimal-coding small world optimization algorithm (DSWA) is explored, which validity and feasibility are testified by the simulation of PID parameters tuning. Compared with the corresponding genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO), the simulation results indicate that DSWA can avoid trapping to local optimum in a certain extend, and it also can find high quality parameters for PID controller.
