Abstract

This paper proposes a novel PM generator for the Fractional Frequency Transmission System (FFTS), which consists of two sets of windings that generate 50Hz and 50/3Hz electrical energy, respectively. The topology, no-load performance, load performance, and torque adjustment performance of this novel machine have been mainly analyzed, and its system connection method applied in FFTS has also been introduced.
