abstract = "this paper presents a single-phase hybrid structure multilevel inverter (MLI) system. This proposed system used to generate a 15-level output voltage waveform. The proposed topology synthesize two DC sources, three DC chargeable capacitors and 14 switching devices to generate the desired output levels. Furthermore; the proposed topology can be extended to a high number of output voltage levels by connecting more than one unit in cascaded connection. The nearest level control method has been applied for controlling this topology due to its simplicity. The presented topology achieve a fine waveforms with a low level of THD and the switches voltage stress which in-turn enhances the efficiency and achieves a reduction in the total cost of the proposed system. The paper also gives a self-charging method for the capacitors and no need for an extra charging circuit.",
