Abstract
Some industrial computers and a server were combined to set up the on-line monitoring and diagnostic system of turbo-generator sets. To share and transmit the running information of the generator sets, a distributed network system was introduced. The network operating system of well developed NOVELL was used in the LAN (Local Area Network) system, and the network clients are some monitoring computers and a diagnostic computer. Moreover, the LAN was extended to realize the share of data and remote transmission of information.
