N2 - Considering the numerous constraints in the security-constrained economic dispatch problem of power system, this paper proposes a fast dispatch algorithm. First, the redundant constraints are identified and removed, then the remaining constraints are clustered and representative constraints are constructed with existing analytical methods. Then, the algorithm of inner and outer approximation to the feasible region is proposed by combining the error indicators before. Based on this algorithm, it reduces the computational effort of solving the dispatch problem and achieves a approximate optimal solution. The effectiveness of the fast algorithm are finally verified by numerical simulation of the IEEE-24 system and IEEE-118 system.
