Abstract

Large-scale integration of wind power makes the peak load regulation become more and more serious. As a result, the analysis of daily operation manner plays an important role in determining the power architecture. Based on traditional generation expansion planning method focusing on economic and reliability indices, this paper proposes a daily operation arrangement and peak load regulation algorithm, which is established on the basis of multi-state renewable energy simulation, and is used to test the running feasibility of the power generation planning result. The algorithm proposes a sequential multi-state wind generation model established on a Markov process with state transition matrices and initial distribution based on historical data. Also, the algorithm proposes an efficient multi-state energy function forming method based on equivalent energy function method to analyze the power and energy balance and peak load regulation of the system using a deterministic production simulation. So the algorithm can ensure the economy, reliability and feasibility of the power generation planning. Test system was used to verify the rationality and feasibility of the proposed models and algorithm and the results of this paper may provide some suggestions for the generation planning.
