Abstract
In this work, we propose a newfangled micromechanics-based elastoplastic phase field model for fracture in graphene/metal composites. To evaluate the elastoplastic constitutive and fracture properties of graphene reinforced metal matrix composites, a multiscale micromechanical model are first established using the mean field homogenization approach and field fluctuation method. Concurrently, the reliability of the micromechanics model is certified by experimental results. Subsequently, the obtained constitutive properties are inputted into the elastoplastic phase field model to simulate the cracks evolution in graphene reinforced metal matrix composites. To detect the reliability of elastoplastic phase field approach of graphene/metal composites based on micromechanics, the paradigmatic cases under complex cracking conditions are implemented. The numerical results authenticate the robustness of the presented computational framework.
