Abstract
Biofabrication is an emerging multidiscipline by integrating the manufacturing technology and the life science. It offeres new technical supports for the manufacturing of large scale human tissue/organs, as well as important opportunities for the innovative development in manufacturing technology. For the future development of manufacturing, a 5D Printing was proposed. The connotation of 5D printing was discussed, and the key technical issues were put forward. Combined with the development of biofabriction technology, the fabrication of myocardium scaffolds, the brain-like neuron tissue manufacturing, and the manufacturing of the life machine hybrid crawling robots were introduced, providing new solutions for the biofabrication technology and its innovative progresses.
