Abstract
In 2021, the application codes of the National Natural Science Fund have been optimized under the new target-oriented and comprehensive background of China's scientific development. And the discipline I of oncology adopts the new application code system guided by scientific problems, thus the applications and grants of general-like programs (including General Program, Young Scientist Fund, Fund for Less Developed Regions) in 2021 show new characteristics and trends, which are analyzed in this paper, by the new application codes, the tumor target organ types, and the major research contents.
