Abstract

Kerogen is the main organic matter in low mature shale, and its conversion characteristic in supercritical water is the basis of developing in-situ supercritical water conversion technology. In this paper, the rule of supercritical water conversion of shale kerogen was studied, and kerogen was extracted by acid-pickling. The influence of hydrofluoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid on the root body of kerogen was investigated, and hydrocarbon generation of kerogen when the temperature of supercritical water changed was briefly analyzed. It is found that under the conditions of 380◦C and 25 MPa, the maximum oil yield can reach 0.13 g·g−1(kerogen), and the optimal yield of the shale gas can reach 800 mL·g−1(kerogen), which preliminatively proves that the supercritical water can efficiently convert the shale with low maturity into higher value oil and gas resources, providing theoretical guidance for further experiments and practical operations.
