Abstract
Supercritical CO2 (S-CO2) cycle power generation represents a new type of power cycle generation technology with CO2 as the working fluid and the whole cycle system operating above the CO2 critical point. It has the advantages of higher power conversion efficiency, better full load flexibility, smaller unit footprint and wider applicability of heat source, etc. Therefore, it is widely recognized worldwide as a transformative thermal power generation technology. This technology has more advantages than steam power cycle in the application fields of efficient and flexible thermal power, high parameter concentrated solar power generation and liquid metal small nuclear power. These advantages make it particularly significant for developing China's new-type power system. This paper focuses on the analysis of the latest research progress worldwide on key technologies such as S-CO2 cycle configuration, core equipment design technology, dynamic simulation and operation control, and the technical difficulties to be solved in the next step, so as to provide references for technology iteration and demonstration application of S-CO2 cycle power generation.
