N2 - Aluminide coatings are widely used to protect engine hot - section components such as turbine blades, but during service, they are prone to high - temperature oxidation and hot corrosion, resulting in failure. Aiming at the failure of aluminide coatings in high - temperature environments during service, the mechanism of high - temperature oxidation and hot corrosion of aluminide coating was introduced. Factors affecting high - temperature oxidation and hot corrosion of aluminide coatings, as well as methods for improving the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of aluminide coatings, including the addition of modified elements such as Cr, Si, Pt and active elements, and pre - oxidation treatment, were described. Finally, the future of high - temperature oxidation and hot corrosion research of aluminide coatings was prospected.
