Abstract

Objective To explore the innovative operation of laparoscopic liver transplantation, a suspension gasless-device suitable for laparoscopic liver transplantation was developed. Methods The gasless-device was composed of external support, capstan, and abdominal wall retractor. The external support was fixed with the operating table and the internal retractor was opened. The abdominal wall was suspended by capstan to raise the retractor height. Results The maximum support area was 254 cm2, and the simulation modeling showed that the support can maintain the original structure stably under the load of 1000 N. Through animal experiments, it was verified that the gasless-device can provide stable and sufficient operation space for laparoscopic operation. Conclusion The gasless-device developed in this study can be used in laparoscopic liver transplantation, which provides enough surgical field for the operator and ensures the smooth implementation of the operation.
