Abstract

Molecular tagging velocimetry is a non-invasive optical measurement technique that is applicable to measuring the speed of high-speed flow fields. The suitability and accuracy of flow field testing are significantly impacted by the types of tagging molecules and their luminescence characteristics. This study aims to develop molecular tagging velocimetry for high-speed complex flow fields, with a focus on exploring the stimulated emission characteristics and flow field testing applications of the diacety molecule. Firstly, we conducted experimental testing to analyze the phosphorescence spectral characteristics of diacety molecules and the influence of various factors such as temperature, pressure, exposure time, laser intensity, diacety concentration, and oxygen atmosphere concentration on diacety phosphorescence characteristics. We obtained the rules governing the impact of different factors on diacety luminescence characteristics. Subsequently, we conducted experimental testing to verify the molecular tagging velocimetry using diacety molecules and analyzed the impact of image processing and velocity field solving methods on the accuracy of testing.
