Abstract
A decentralized dispatch method considering the cross-area tie-line trading scheme is proposed to address the coordinated dispatching of multi-area interconnected power systems. Firstly, the constraints of cross-area electricity transaction strategies are considered and the centralized dispatch is modeled with the optimization of electricity trade curve via the tie-line transmission channel to improve the wind power accommodation. Then, the fully decentralized dispatch is modeled by reconstructing the centralized model using the alternating direction method of multipliers. To speed the computation, a heuristic method is developed by fixing binary variables. The heuristic method simplifies the complexity of area sub-problem and accelerates the convergence of the decentralized algorithm. Finally, the applicability of the proposed method is addressed on two test systems. The calculation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
