Abstract
The mid/long-term simulation, as an essential part of power system production simulation, plays an important role in managing the seasonal characteristics of clean energy power. With multiple generation techniques including renewable power considered, a novel production simulation method to support the mid-/long-term multi-energy generation cooperation was developed. The model is based on the load block curve, in which the maintenance requirement and operating constraints for generators, primary energy including renewable and hydro energy, and the integration of wind power are considered. In addition, the mixed integer linear programming (MILP) method was adopted to solve the problem efficiently. The case study on the modified IEEE-RTS has verified the validity and feasibility of the proposed method. It is also shown that the characteristics of multi-energy generation have great influence on the mid/long-term generation schedule.
