Abstract
A simulation modeling method of bearing dynamics based on the global coordinate system is proposed to solve the problem of low accuracy of the contact solution in the existing commercial softwares for bearing dynamic analysis. The angular contact ball bearing is used as the research object, and the transient geometric position relationships of each part of the bearing are analyzed by using the rigid body dynamics theory; dynamic differential equations of the bearing assemblies are constructed by combining the classical Hertzian contact theory and elastohydrodynamic lubrication theory; the GSTIFF I3 algorithm with high calculation accuracy for displacement solution is used to solve the dynamic differential equations quickly. The higher-pair contact process between bearing components is accurately predicted by analyzing the force state of each part in any transient state. Compared with the calculation of classical theory, the simulation error of the contact force of the proposed model is 0.82%; the speed simulation error of the model is less than 0.5% by comparing with the measured cage speed under different rotating speeds and different preloads by the test bench. The proposed method significantly improves the precision of characteristic analysis of bearing contact and movement, and provides an accurate and efficient calculation method for engineering design and state modeling prediction of rolling bearings.
