Abstract

The laminar burning velocities of NH3/C2H4/air flames at different doping ratios (0-1) were measured using a constant volume combustion chamber. The laminar burning velocities of NH3/air and C2H4/air were verified, and numerical calculations and kinetic analysis of the laminar burning velocities of NH3/C2H4/air flames were carried out using Konnov Mech (2021) and GRI 3.0 models, in which the Konnov mechanism showed good performance. As the results show, laminar burning velocities were increased due to the addition of C2H4. At the same time, NH3 and C2H4 were blended to broaden the reaction pathways and accelerate the reaction by a series of components NO, CH3, etc. interactively. Meanwhile, the concentrations of H, O and OH radicals were analyzed to investigate the reasons for the differences in the predicted laminar burning velocities among different mechanisms.
