N2 - The lowtemperature plasma is rich in highly active charged particles and free radicals and accompanied by a strong short pulse autogenic electric field, showing great advantages in the field of waste gas treatment. The plasma waste gas treatment device has the advantages of low investment, simple process, fast treatment speed and high degradation efficiency. Based on the principle of dielectric barrier discharge, a columnar array plasma reactor with circulating water electrode is designed in this paper, and a plasma characteristics experimental platform is built to study the optical and electrical characteristics of DBD at different voltage amplitude and different discharge unit number, including voltage and current waveform, harmonics, discharge power, discharge images, emission spectra, etc. The results show that with the increase of voltage amplitude, the number of current pulses increases obviously, the even harmonic content gradually decrease to disappear, the discharge became more uniform, the relative intensity of emission spectrum and characteristic spectral line increases, and the vibration temperature of nitrogen molecule increases. The discharge power increases with the increase of voltage and the number of discharge units, and the reactive power is negative. The research results provide a reference for optimizing the operating parameters of the plasma reactor and improving the actual treatment effect of large flux VOCs.
