Abstract
Sulfur hexafluoride(SF6)gas,which is widely used in high-voltage power equipment, has a strong greenhouse effect. Driven by the goal of ‘double carbon’,it is an urgent task for the power industry to study new environmentally friendly SF6 alternative gas. Firstly,170 potential alternative gases to SF6 are screened by high-throughput virtual screening, and a potential insulating alternative gas database consisting of 19 compounds is set up. It is found that CF3OCF=CF2 gas has good comprehensive properties, high insulation strength, with boiling point about -22 ℃ and GWP is less than 1. Then, focusing on the insulation properties of CF3OCF=CF2 gas,the pulsed Townsend experiment and lightning impact breakdown experiment are performed. The experimental results show that the insulation strength of CF3OCF=CF2 gas is about 0.96~1.02 that of SF6. Therefore, from the perspective of insulation performance of CF3OCF=CF2 gas,it has the potential to replace SF6,which verifies the feasibility of the virtual screening method. The work in this paper has strongly promoted the theoretical exploration and innovative development of new environmentally friendly insulating gases.
