Abstract
Corrosion is the most common forms of failure in petrochemical equipment, and injecting neutralizing agents is one of the important process anti-corrosion measures to prevent corrosion.At present, most neutralizing agents are organic amines or their mixtures, and the existing technical measures for selecting neutralizing agents are single, which can’t comprehensively consider the influence of various factors.A neutralizer selection method was optimized by combining the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. By focusing on the anti-corrosion performance of an atmospheric and vacuum distilation unit,a two-level hierarchical structure model for the neutralizer evaluation and screening index system was determined. The index data of five single-component organic amine neutralizers, namely ethylenediamine,triethylamine, morpholine, N, N-dimethylethanolamine, and 3-methoxypropylamine, were obtained through experiments such as corrosion coupon and neutralization titration on 20 carbon steel. The comprehensive performance of neutralizers in descending order was as follows: ethylenediamine,N, N-dimethylethanolamine, triethylamine, 3-methoxypropylamine, and morpholine. The research results can provide a scientific and effective selection technology for neutralizers in industries such as petrochemicals and natural gas storage and transportation engineering and provide a theoretical basis for the development and improvement of neutralizers.
