Abstract

Objective This study aimed to analyze relevant literature on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) complicated with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and understand the research hotspots and frontier trends in this field. Method A literature search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection database for articles related to SLE complicated with ILD from January 1, 2003, to December 31, 2022. A total of 506 literatures were retrieved. CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software was applied for data conversion and weight removal. Finally, 302 literatures were included for bibliometric analysis. The Document Metrology Online Analysis Platform, CiteSpace 6.1.R6, and Excel 2021 software were used for visual analysis of publishing countries, institutions, periodical, authors, and keywords. Results The overall publication volume in this field showed an upward trend, peaking in 2021. Compared with the United States, China and Japan had less international collaboration. Of the top nine cited journals, five were based in the UK, three in the US, and one in Canada. A total of 615 nodes and 2 954 links were obtained from author citation analysis, and the top 10 authors and top 13 articles were obtained, among which the first author was Anthony Bohan from the University of California. Keywords such as "mortality" and "survival" status had a high frequency of appearance, whereas "clinical indicators" and "pulmonary arterial hypertension" were recent emerging terms. Conclusion The secondary pulmonary arterial hypertension, clinical indicators, and survival prognosis of patients with SLE complicated with ILD have been the focus of recent research.
