Abstract

To implement the online measurement of eccentric shaft diameter of industrial robot joint RV reducer, one kind of method based on two light screen sensors was proposed. The corresponding automatic measurement system was also developed.A dislocated-combined multi-light-screen measurement unit was designed. The two-light-screen edge scanning method was proposed to achieve automatic measurement of multi-standards eccentric shafts. The measurement beat was less than 50 s, which can meet the requirement of rapid online measurement in the production line. In addition, the error sources of the measurement system were analyzed.Error modeling and compensation were completed.Experimental results show that the method was of high accuracy and can meet the utilization of production line. The repeatability measurement error was less than or equal to 0.8 μm by comparing with the optimeter. It was indicatedthat the measurement results were accurate and reliable.
