Abstract
Based on the VOSET method, a numerical simulation method suitable for studying flow boiling heat transfer in a three-dimensional rectangular channel is integrated by considering the effects of conjugated heat transfer, microlayer, dynamic contact angle, and introducing a reasonable nucleus site density model. This method can describe the heat transfer, flow pattern, dry patch, and microlayer evolutions of flow boiling in a three-dimensional rectangular channel. Moreover, the average and maximum relative errors of simulation results obtained by the present numerical method are 24.8% and 28.9% by comparing with the classical empirical correlation, indicating that simulation accuracy is acceptable.
